Big Sky Learning Café website and related communication or social media platforms are not part of any institution. The activities, services and content found here do not form part of a course, program of study or for-credit engagement opportunity.

Big Sky has the explicit goal of connecting participants from various institutions and regions and therefore has no home institution.

Although psychology and counseling are discussed on this site it is important to note that the neither the host, Tim Smith, or any of the moderators are licensed psychiatrists, psychologists or counselors. Nor are any of the comments or contributions by participants offered as professional advice. This site strongly recommends that visitors avail themselves to counseling or psychology resources and professionals in their communities. We think that doing so is healthy, smart and usually fun. We would be happy to assist in finding a professional service provider if asked. Do what’s right for yourself and others - we’ll admire you for it - always!

Although the terms Psychology and Experiment are used throughout this site, it is important to note that no psychological experimentation is being conducted, no personal data is being collected and no analysis or consultation of a psychological nature is undertaken or offered.

Big Sky is a virtual café. Any mention of physical locations may be figurative or allegorical.

Tim Smith is solely responsible for content and design. Contributions to social media portals are the responsibility of the those who contribute them.

In the background Big Sky utilizes resources from existing software projects (more ->) in a way that will hopefully provide examples, discussion points and resources that help us learn together. Any software or resources donated by Tim Smith are provided on an As-Is basis. No service, support or guarantees of function or access to future versions are made.

Big Sky is not a content provider. Although informational or educational content may be offered or utilized for example or illustrative purposes, no claims of accuracy, completeness or inclusivity are made. It makes not claims of validity.

Big Sky will often point to other sites or resources for more elaborated content. This will often include links to GNU participants such as Wikipedia and related projects. Big Sky reserves the right to work with specific content providers and may be utilized to facilitate the creation and organization of those materials. As a knowledge engineering environment Big Sky may generate resources that may be used by other efforts to shape, prioritize and visualize content production. Big Sky reserves the right to contribute preferentially to such efforts.
